Excessive Sweating Treatments

The most common treatment for hyperhidrosis, particularly excessive underarm sweating, involves the use of botulinum toxin injections.

Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, is injected into the affected area to block the signals that stimulate sweat glands. This process temporarily paralyzes the overactive sweat glands, reducing excessive sweating.

The effects of the treatment are not permanent, and patients may need to undergo repeat injections every 4 to 6 months to maintain the desired results.

It’s important to note that the decision to undergo any medical procedure, including the use of toxins for hyperhidrosis, is subject for a thorough consultation. We will assess your specific condition, discuss potential risks and benefits, and provide personalized advice based on your medical history.
